The PEACE PROJECT is my visual response to friction in our world. Utilizing the visceral, timeless medium of encaustic wax, I construct, deconstruct, and obscure the traditional peace symbol onto wooden panels with encaustic medium and pigment. I intentionally steer away from the bright, fragile cliches of the past. Instead, I layer these pieces in raw, earthy tones - blacks, deep umbers, and organic pigments - building and scraping into the molten wax to bury and unearth the symbol.

These paintings are not passive decorations; they are active, personal rituals. In my own home, I place a piece from this collection in every room as a physical anchor - a deliberate reminder to cultivate inner quietude amidst a chaotic society. By fracturing and half-hiding the symbol, I mirror the reality of the human condition: that peace is rarely a perfect, unbroken circle given to us freely.
